Terms of business
Most bookings are subject to a 20% non-refundable deposit, agreed at the time of booking. The remaining balance is then due on arrival or as stated within our quotation email. In the event of bookings 7 nights or less, the full cost is payable prior to arrival at Cumber's Tropical Apartments, Christchurch. Should a cancellation occur more than 40 days prior to the arrival date, any refundable amounts (less 20% deposit monies taken) will attract a min fee of $30 USD, to recover a small proportion of incurred bank and credit card charges.
We accept most debit, credit cards and cash
It should be noted that we have a strict, licensed, occupancy level from which we operate. To accommodate any additional person outside of normal occupancy, within any apartment, will attract a surcharge. (Normal occupancy is stated as 2 persons, within a 1 bedroom and a maximum of 4 people within 2 bedroom). The maximum number of additional guests is restricted to one person per apartment and only with authorisation from Management.
We reserve the right to refuse accommodation or evict any additional persons occupying an apartment outside of normal capacity, without prior consent.
At Cumber’s, we welcome visitors but would request that overnight stays be limited to check in guests only.
It is essential that any guest group members, with staggered arrival dates/times, report to the Office on arrival at Cumber’s, to enable individual check in.
Any violation of these terms of business will mean the eviction of the offending party and could result in the expulsion of the whole group, without recourse or recompense.
Check in time: 2 pm on day of arrival
Check out: By midday on day of departure
*Later Check-ins & outs beyond these times should be notified on booking, is subject to availability and/or an additional fee.
